Description:
he Vybrant Apoptosis Assay Kit #2 detects the externalization of phosphatidylserine in apoptotic cells. This kit employs our bright, green-fluorescent Alexa Fluor 488 annexin and a ready-to-use solution of the red-fluorescent propidium iodide nucleic acid stain. Propidium iodide stains necrotic cells with red fluorescence. After treatment with both probes, apoptotic cells show green fluorescence, dead cells show red and green fluorescence, and live cells show little or no fluorescence.
