Reacts with the 95 kDa, type II membrane glycoprotein, the transferrin receptor expressed on activated lymphocytes, monocytes, 
macrophages, most dividing cells and on brain endothelium. CD71 is not expressed on resting lymphocytes and is upregulated during response 
to antigens and/or mitogens. The transferrin receptor binds Fe(Apo)-transferrin and via endocytosis and delivers iron required by the growing 
cell for cellular metabolism.

The monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant or ascites by affinity chromatography.
The antibody was conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, and unreacted FITC was removed.
Store undiluted at 4° C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
